3rd Mainland Bridge to be completely shut down tomorrow, Sunday October 14th

3rd Mainland Bridge will be completely shut down tomorrow Sunday Oct 14th. This is to allow the contractors to do the concrete casting of the expansion joints currently undergoing repair works on the Oworonshoki-bound section. This was announced by the Lagos State Government. It explained that the concrete casting and drying process requires zero vibration, and that's why they are shutting down the bridge totally, from 6 am to 12 midnight. Motorists are therefore advised to find alternative routes.

  3. Traffic may not be too crazy, considering its going to be on a Sunday. Good thing its being done on Sunday, when traffic's usually the lightest. I'm sure by tomorrow, being Monday, it will b reopened.
