No More 'Okada' On Lagos Roads?

The Lagos State Government has banned motorbikes popularly known as 'okada' from 475 roads in the state.

The Okada riders gathered and went on a rampage yesterday morning, destroying government property (BRT buses) along Ikorodu road. This triggered the Lagos House of Assembly to threaten an outright ban if they continued the vandalization.
What do you think of the ban?

  5. I feel for these okada riders. This is their daily bread for crying out loud. Its a pity our govt is so insensitive to the plight of the masses. What then happens to the riders that have their means of livelihood cut off? Crime, robbery in traffic, and other vices one can think of. Let Fashola and Opeifa use their tongue to count their teeth...
