Chelsea Football Club has parted company this morning with Manager Roberto Di Matteo.
Roberto was fired after another loss in the Champions League.
Reason being the team's recent performances and results which have not been impressive enough. The owner and the Board felt that a change was necessary now to keep the club moving in the right direction for the vitally important part of the season.
Just like that??? Me thinks another chance should have been given him...
The owner and the Board, in a statement released, thanked Roberto for all he has done for the club since taking over in March. Roberto helped guide the club to an historic Champions League victory and a seventh FA Cup.
The club will be making an announcement shortly regarding a replacement. Rumours have it that Rafa Benitez has been lined up to replace Di Matteo.
Buh nawa o. And he just became dier coach in March. These guys jus remind me of naija system. Once d team performs badly, d coach is given a red card instantly. No excuses. Forgetting past victories d team achieved under his management. Such is life sha.
