Chris Brown has cancelled a stadium concert in South America after local protests over his 2009 beating of then-girlfriend Rihanna, according to event organizers.
Brown was billed to headline a big show in Guyana on December 26.
Women's rights groups and opposition lawmakers are against Brown performing in Guyana three years after his assault of Rihanna.
Concert promoter Hits & Jams Entertainment said on Thursday that Brown backed out, citing discomfort with the protests.
