The 25-year old Ayogu allegedly sprayed insecticide on the victims and struck a match which ignited fire that burnt them badly. The incident happened after Ayogu had a quarrel with them. The two victims died before they got to the hospital while the other four were admitted and are still receiving treatment at Apapa General Hospital.

The management of the company promptly handed over Moses to the police at Festac Division. He is now facing a murder charge at an Apapa Magistrate’s Court in Lagos .
The police alleged that the offence he committed was contrary to sections 22 and 249 of the Criminal Code Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2011.
His plea was not taken when the matter came up at the court.
The presiding Chief Magistrate ordered that the matter be transferred to Kirikiri Magistrate’s Court for proper arraignment. He was remanded in Kirikiri Prison, Apapa, Lagos.
