Gov Fashola plans taking LASTMA off the streets...just for a day

The Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, during the weekend, hinted removing lastma officials off the streets , while he was hosting a section of members of the media at an interactive session focusing on recent developments in the state.
When asked particularly about managing traffic in the state, the governor, among other things, had this to say:
“There is an image I can present to you: the day the traffic lights in New York shut down, they had no clue. New York was at a standstill for about eight hours and these men and women of LATSMA everyday push this traffic without the aid of technology and instead of encouraging them, we sweep them with the same brush. I will like to take them off the streets for one day in order to explain to us in very practical terms what they do. I wish I could!”
Lagosians, do you think the streets of Lagos will be chaotic whilst they are absent from our roads??
